Garlic Mashed Potatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 large baking potatoes
    3 large cloves garlic (left whole)
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1/2 c. sour cream
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. grated Cheddar cheese
Preparation
    Peel and cut potatoes into about 5 chunks.
    Cover potatoes and garlic that have been peeled, with water.
    Bring to a boil and cook about 20 minutes until very tender.
    Drain, leaving a little potato water in the pan.
    Using a potato masher, blend in butter, sour cream and salt.
    Add a little more hot water, if necessary. Pile into a buttered shallow casserole dish and top with cheese. Serve immediately or re-warm in a low oven at serving time.
