German Coffee Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. warm water (105~)
    1/3 c. sugar
    2 1/4 c. flour, divided
    1/4 c. lard
    brown sugar and cinnamon (for topping)
    1 pkg. dry yeast
    1 tsp. salt
    1 egg, beaten
    2 tsp. margarine or butter
Preparation
    Dissolve yeast in warm water.
    Let stand a few minutes, then stir.
    Stir in sugar, salt and 1 cup of the flour.
    Beat the egg; add softened lard and add to flour mixture.
    Beat in the remaining flour until mixture is smooth.
    Drop by spoonfuls into a greased shallow baking pan.
    Let rise in a warm place until dough is nearly doubled.
    Dot the top of dough with the slivers of margarine or butter.
    Then sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon. Bake 30 minutes at 375\u00b0.
