Vidalia Onion Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

9-inch pie crust
2 lb. Vidalia onions, thinly sliced
1 stick butter
3 large eggs, beaten
1 c. sour cream
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. black pepper
dash of hot sauce
Parmesan cheese
Preparation

Roll out crust and place into pie pan.
Refrigerate.
Heat oven to 450\u00b0.
Saute onions in butter until crisp-tender.
Remove from heat.
Mix eggs and sour cream.
Stir in onions and seasonings.
Pour into crust and top with Parmesan cheese.
Bake at 450\u00b0
for 20 minutes.
Reduce heat to 325\u00b0
and continue baking for 20 more minutes until top and crust are golden.
Cool on wire rack and serve warm.
Good with roasted or grilled pork or poultry.
