Broccoli Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (49 oz.) can chicken broth
    8 c. broccoli, cut up
    2 c. chopped onion
    2 tsp. thyme, crushed
    2 bay leaves
    garlic powder
    8 Tbsp. butter
    8 Tbsp. flour
    2 tsp. salt
    4 c. milk
Preparation
    Bring first 6 ingredients to a boil.
    Cover and simmer
    10 minutes or until broccoli is tender.
    Remove bay leaves.
    Blend 60 seconds in blender (longer if you like it smoother).
    Melt butter; blend in flour, salt and pepper.
    Get all the lumps out.
    Slowly add milk.
    Mix together with broccoli mixture and warm to serving temperature.
