Raw Apple Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
1 c. brown sugar
2 1/2 c. raw apples, sliced
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1 c. milk
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. nut meats
1/2 c. brown sugar
Preparation

Cream shortening with 1 cup sugar and 1 cup brown sugar.
Add beaten eggs, milk and apples.
Beat in rest of the sifted dry ingredients.
Pour into a 9 x 13-inch greased cake pan.
Sprinkle nut meats and 1/2 cup brown sugar over top.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 minutes.
Serve plain or with whipped cream.
