Mary Brewer'S Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. light corn syrup
    1/2 c. water
    2 c. raw shelled Spanish peanuts
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    2 Tbsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Boil sugar, syrup and water until it spins a thread (210\u00b0 on candy thermometer).
    Add peanuts and butter.
    Cook until golden brown, stirring gently.
    Take from fire and add soda.
    Beat well. Spread on two well-greased cookie sheets.
    Let cool a bit then, using a spatula, lift the edges and pull thin.
    Store in airtight container.
