Shriner'S Corn Dogs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sifted flour
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    2/3 c. corn meal (yellow)
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    1 egg, slightly beaten
    3/4 c. milk
Preparation
    Sift dry ingredients together.
    Cut in shortening and add milk and egg.
    More milk may be used if a thinner batter is desired. Place stick in hot dog and dip in batter.
    Fry in deep fryer until golden brown.
