Hush Puppies * - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. white corn meal
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking powder
    3 Tbsp. grated onion
    1/4 tsp. baking soda
    2 eggs
    1/2 c. buttermilk
    1/4 c. sweet milk
Preparation
    Beat eggs well.
    Add all milk and beat well.
    Add all the dry ingredients and onions.
    Cook in deep fat at 350\u00b0.
    They should be mealy on the inside and a golden crisp brown on the outside.
    If the dough becomes too thick, add more milk.
    Wonderful with fish and soups, especially with Brunswick Stew.
