Divinity Candy - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sugar
3/4 c. white Karo syrup
1/2 c. water
2 egg whites
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Place sugar, syrup and water in same saucepan and cook to 248\u00b0.
Remove from heat and let temperature drop to 220\u00b0, without stirring.
Place egg whites in bowl and whip to soft peak.
Add syrup at medium speed for about 2 1/2 minutes. Turn to high speed and whip 20 to 25 minutes or until it begins to dry.
Drop from greased spoon onto a greased platter.
(Candy thermometer a must and beating time important for best results.)
