Mexican Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. garlic powder
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 can enchilada sauce
    1 can cream of mushroom soup
    1/2 can water
    1/2 can chopped green chilies
    1 1/2 c. grated cheese
    1 pkg. corn tortillas
Preparation
    Fry together beef and onions until pink disappears from meat. Add enchilada sauce.
    Mix soup, water, green chilies, salt and pepper.
    Set aside.
    Break tortillas into several pieces in a 2-quart casserole dish.
    Put a layer of tortillas, a layer of meat mix, layer of soup mix, then cover with cheese.
    Repeat layers, ending with cheese.
    Refrigerate several hours or overnight for better flavor.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
