Ingredients

6 large potatoes, peeled
2 eggs
3 Tbsp. flour
salt and pepper to taste
nutmeg to taste
1 medium onion (optional)
oil for frying
Preparation

Grate potatoes.
Pour off excess water.
Grate onion; add other ingredients.
Mix.
Pour one-half inch oil in frypan. Allow oil to get real hot.
With a tablespoon or spatula, drop little flattened cakes in pan.
Fry until brown on both sides. Drain on paper towel.
