All-Occasion Punch - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    2 c. water
    1 (3 oz.) pkg. lemon jello
    1 (6 oz.) can frozen orange juice
    3 oz. lemon juice
    1 large can pineapple juice
    3 tsp. almond extract
    2 qts. ginger ale
    Large container for mixing
Preparation
    Cook on medium heat sugar and water till well dissolved stirring constantly.
    Add lemon jello; stir until well dissolved and remove from heat.
    Pour all juices and jello mixture into large container, mix well.
    Add extract and ginger ale and 1/2 gallon of water.
    Stir well.
    Put in freezer until mixture becomes slushy.
    Makes 1
    1/2 gallons.
