Taffy Apple Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 or 5 Granny Smith apples, chopped
    6 oz. Spanish peanuts
    8 oz. Cool Whip
    1 large can crushed pineapple
    1 egg, slightly beaten
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch (possibly more)
    1/2 tsp. vinegar
Preparation
    Drain pineapple, saving juice.
    To the juice, add slightly beaten egg, sugar, cornstarch and vinegar.
    Micro on High 4 minutes or until thick.
    Cool completely and mix with other ingredients.
