Glorified Cabbage - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium head cabbage
    3/4 stick butter or oleo
    1 onion, chopped fine
    1 can cream of mushroom soup
    1/2 lb. Velveeta cheese
    1 c. bread crumbs
Preparation
    Chop cabbage; boil until very tender. Cook onion in butter until wilted. Add cheese in chunks. Allow to melt over low heat. Stir in soup and blend well over low heat. Stir in drained cabbage and mix well. Add bread crumbs. Mix well.
    Season to taste with salt. Place in 1 1/2-quart casserole dish. Sprinkle bread crumbs on top. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 to 30 minutes or until bubbly.
