Cinnamon Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter, softened
    3/4 c. sugar
    2 c. flour, sifted
    3 tsp. cinnamon
    1 egg, separated
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. pecans, chopped
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar.
    Combine flour and cinnamon; gradually add to creamed mixture.
    Stir in egg yolk and vanilla until well blended.
    Spread dough in a greased 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 1-inch baking sheet and pat down.
    Brush egg white on top of dough; sprinkle nuts over dough.
    Press nuts down.
    Bake in preheated 300\u00b0 oven for 30 minutes.
    Cut into bars and remove from sheet to cool. Makes 2 dozen bars.
