Old Fashioned Egg Custard Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 eggs
1/2 c. sugar
1/8 tsp. salt
2 c. scalded milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1/8 tsp. nutmeg
Preparation

Beat eggs until light and foamy.
Add sugar and salt; blend well.
Add milk and vanilla.
Line a 9-inch pie pan with pastry. Brush with melted butter. Pour custard into unbaked pastry and sprinkle with nutmeg.
Bake at 450\u00b0 for 10 minutes.
Reduce to 325\u00b0 and bake 25 minutes or until a knife inserted in middle comes out clean.
