Meringue - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 Tbsp. cornstarch
2 tsp. cold water
1/2 c. boiling water
1 tsp. fresh lemon juice
3 egg whites
6 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation

In small saucepan, mix cornstarch and cold water.
Stir in boiling water put over medium heat.
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened.
Set in cool water to hasten cooling.
Add lemon juice to egg whites and beat in electric mixer until whites stand in soft peaks.
Gradually add sugar, beating well after addition, then beat until whites stand in glossy peaks. Add cornstarch mixture all at once and beat until well blended.
