Green Bean Pilaf - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large yellow onion
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    10 medium fresh mushrooms
    1/4 tsp. dried tarragon
    1/2 c. long grain rice
    1 1/4 c. chicken broth
    3/4 lb. green beans
    salt to taste
    pepper to taste
Preparation
    Finely chop onion.
    Melt butter in a pan.
    Add onion.
    Cook until translucent, stirring as needed.
    Meanwhile, chop mushrooms. Add to onions.
    Add tarragon and rice.
    Cook over low heat, stirring constantly about 3 minutes.
    Trim, wash and cut green beans into 1-inch pieces.
    Cook in water with a little salt for about 6 minutes until tender-crisp.
    Drain well.
    Gently fold green beans into rice.
    Season to taste.
    Heat and serve.
