Pepper Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. round steak, cut in thin strips
    2 to 3 Tbsp. oil
    1 clove garlic, minced
    4 to 5 Tbsp. Kikkoman soy sauce
    1 tsp. salt
    2 c. water
    1 c. green pepper, cut in 1-inch pieces
    1 medium onion, chopped
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
Preparation
    Brown beef in hot oil; add garlic and cook a few minutes.
    Add soy sauce, salt, onion and 1 1/2 cups water.
    Cook until meat is tender, approximately 30 to 35 minutes.
    Add green pepper and cook ten minutes longer.
    Blend cornstarch with 1/2 cup water.
    Stir into meat and allow to thicken.
    Serve over hot rice.
