Holiday Nut Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 Tbsp. butter
1 c. milk
2 eggs
3 c. flour
4 tsp. baking powder
1 c. chopped walnuts
1 tsp. salt (optional)
Preparation

Cream the butter and sugar.
Beat in eggs, then milk.
Mix flour, baking powder, nuts and salt.
Combine with wet ingredients.
Makes 2 small or 1 large loaf.
Pour batter into greased pans. Let stand 20 minutes.
Bake at 425\u00b0 for 15 minutes, then at 375\u00b0 until done, about 45 minutes to an hour more.
It is best to bake a day or two ahead to let flavor develop.
Wrap in Saran/Baggie.
Slice thinly.
Serve with real butter.
