Rhubarb Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 beaten egg
    1 tsp. soda, dissolved in 1 c. sour milk
    2 c. plus 1 Tbsp. flour
    3 c. rhubarb, cut fine
Preparation
    Mix shortening, salt, sugar and beaten egg well.
    Dissolve soda in sour milk.
    Add alternately with flour.
    Stir in rhubarb. Pour in 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Mix topping and sprinkle over the cake batter.
