Fruit Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. mace
1/2 tsp. allspice
3/4 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
3 egg whites
3/4 c. buttermilk
1 lb. each: raisins, pitted dates, candied cherries and candied pineapple
1 c. black walnuts
1 c. English walnuts
1 c. pecans
Preparation

Mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves, mace and allspice together.
Cream the shortening and brown sugar together.
Whip egg whites and hold to the side.
Mix dry mixture with buttermilk and add cream mixture.
Mix well and then add dried fruits.
Flour all your fruits so they will not sink to the bottom, then add to your mixture.
Fold in your egg whites.
