Canned Apple Pie Filling - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. cornstarch
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    1 tsp. salt
    10 c. water
    3 Tbsp. lemon juice
Preparation
    Peel and slice apples.
    Fill quart jars tightly.
    Cook syrup until thick and bubbly.
    Add lemon juice.
    Process 20 minutes in water bath or process in pressure canner 8 minutes at 5 pounds pressure.
