Snickerdoodles - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 3/4 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
cinnamon and sugar
nuts and coconut

Preparation

Heat oven to 400\u00b0. Mix shortening, sugar and eggs. Sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Add flour mixture to shortening mixture and mix very well. Chill dough and roll into balls. Roll in cinnamon and sugar. Bake 8 to 10 minutes. Cookies may be rolled in nuts and coconut.
