Beefy Vegetable Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 cans corned beef
    1 pt. peas
    1 pt. beans
    1 pt. whole kernel corn
    1 pt. tomatoes
    4 medium potatoes
    4 carrots
    1 pkg. beefy onion soup mix
    2 pkg. brown gravy mix
    1 qt. water
    1 Tbsp. shortening
    1 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Peel potatoes and carrots.
    Cut in small pieces.
    Put water in large pan.
    Add all but the brown gravy mix and corned beef.
    Cook for 45 minutes.
    Add beef and gravy mix and simmer for 15 minutes.
