Honeymoon Beef - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. lean beef (round or chuck), cut into bite size (stew) pieces
    1 clove garlic, minced or put through garlic press
    1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms (with liquor)
    1 can sliced water chestnuts (8 oz., with liquor)
    1/2 lb. snow peas
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
    cooked rice
Preparation
    Saute beef and garlic until evenly browned.
    Add vegetables and heat until snow peas are cooked but still a bit crisp (5 minutes or so). Drain stock off mixture. Add water to make 1 cup. Stir in cornstarch.
    Pour over meat and veggies. Heat until starch is gelled, ala chow mein.
