Tea Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    2 eggs, beaten
    1 1/2 c. cake flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 c. milk
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar.
    Add beaten eggs.
    Sift dry ingredients; add alternately with combined milk and vanilla.
    Put in small cake tins.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 1/2 hour.
    Icing is optional.
    Makes small 1 or 2 layer cake.
