Taffy Apple Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (16 oz.) can pineapple chunks (set juice aside)
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. Cool Whip
    1 1/2 c. Spanish peanuts, chopped
    2 to 3 c. diced apples (unpeeled)
    4 c. mini marshmallows
    1 egg, beaten well
    1 1/2 Tbsp. white vinegar
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. flour
Preparation
    Mix drained pineapple with marshmallows; set aside. Combine egg, pineapple juice, sugar, flour and vinegar in a saucepan; cook and stir on medium heat until slightly thick. Let cool. When cool, combine with Cool Whip, then fold in marshmallow mixture. Add chopped apples and 1 cup peanuts. Mix carefully. Sprinkle top with remaining peanuts.
