Caroline Spenser'S Sweet Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 lb. cucumbers
    2 c. slate lime
    2 gal. water
    2 qt. vinegar
    2 Tbsp. salt
    11 c. sugar
    1 box pickling spices
Preparation
    Wash and cut cucumbers 1/4-inch thick and soak for 24 hours. Wash well to remove lime.
