Jerry Clower'S Tea Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 heaping c. sugar
2 eggs
3 Tbsp. buttermilk
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. butter
1 tsp. baking soda
3 c. flour (plain)
1 tsp. vanilla

Preparation

Cream butter and sugar.
Add eggs.
Add alternately dry ingredients with milk/vanilla mixture.
Spoon drop (about a tablespoon in size) onto slightly greased cookie sheet and sprinkle with sugar on top.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 8 to 13 minutes, depending on how large the cakes are.
