Whole Wheat Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 3/4 c. warm water (105~ to 115~), divided
    1 1/4 oz. pkg. active yeast
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    1/4 c. vegetable oil
    3 c. whole wheat flour
    5 c. sifted all-purpose white flour, divided
    nonstick vegetable cooking spray
Preparation
    In small bowl of 1/4 cup warm water, sprinkle active yeast on top; stir to dissolve.
    Set aside.
    In a medium bowl, combine remaining 2 1/2 cups warm water, brown sugar and vegetable oil. Stir in whole wheat flour and 1 cup white flour; beat well.
    Stir in dissolved yeast.
    Add 3 more cups of white flour to make a moderately stiff dough.
