Ingredients

1/2 c. salt
1/2 c. vinegar
2 qts. water
1 Tbsp. pickling spice
1 tsp. alum
4 - 6 dill stalks
3 - 4 cloves garlic
4 grape leaves
4 cherry leaves
cucumbers
Preparation

Combine salt, vinegar, water, pickling spice, and alum.
Set aside.
Put cucumber in 1 gallon jar, combining/alternating dill, garlic, and leaves, pack tight.
Pour liquid into jar.
Put in warm place for two weeks.
Refrigerate after opening.
