Homemade Chili - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. shortening
    1 large onion
    2 lb. ground beef, coarsely ground
    1 tsp. salt
    5 Tbsp. chili powder
    4 Tbsp. flour
    1 large can tomatoes or 2 cans tomato sauce
    1 Tbsp. paprika
    black pepper to taste
Preparation
    Heat shortening in heavy saucepan or skillet.
    Add onions and cook until brown.
    Add beef, salt, chili powder, paprika and black pepper and cook until done but not brown.
    Pour 2 cups boiling water over mixture and cook slow.
    Add tomato sauce and flour. Cover and cook about 30 minutes over low heat.
