Sherry'S Carrot Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 1/2 c. cooking oil
    4 eggs
    1/2 c. maple syrup (calls for pure maple syrup; it's expensive. I used artificial maple syrup)
    2 tsp. vanilla
    3 c. grated carrots
    1 c. golden raisins
    pecans (if desired)
    nutmeg (if desired)
Preparation
    Mix flour, baking soda, salt and cinnamon.
    Add remaining ingredients as you continue to mix by hand or electric mixer. Bake at 350\u00b0.
    Time varies, depending on type of pan used.
    Two round or square cake pans would take approximately 40 to 50 minutes.
    Check frequently so as not to scorch.
