Pineapple Icebox Dessert - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 box vanilla wafers, crushed
    1 (1 lb.) box confectioners sugar
    1/2 lb. butter
    3 c. crushed pineapple, drained
    1 container Cool Whip
    1 c. chopped pecans
    4 eggs
Preparation
    Reserve 1/2 cup wafers.
    Melt about 1/2 cup butter.
    Add to remaining wafers and press in a 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Have remaining butter and eggs at room temperature.
    Cream with the sugar, adding eggs one a time.
    Beat well after each addition.
    Spread over wafers.
    Spread pineapple over creamed mixture. Spread Cool Whip over the pineapple.
    Sprinkle reserved wafers and pecans on top. Chill overnight. Serves 18 to 20.
