Fruit Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. butter
    1 1/2 c. brown sugar
    3 eggs
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    2 1/2 c. flour
    1 lb. raisins
    1 lb. dates
    4 oz. citron
    2 oz. lemon peel
    2 oz. orange peel
    4 oz. pineapple
    4 oz. cherries
    1 lb. pecans
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar; add eggs.
    Add soda to buttermilk. In separate bowl, mix dry ingredients, but save enough flour to coat fruit.
    Add the dry ingredients then add all the fruit.
    Stir until well mixed.
    Bake in loaf or tube pans at 350\u00b0 until toothpick comes out clean.
