Pasta Fagoli - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 small onion
    2 large garlic cloves, crushed
    3 Tbsp. olive oil
    2 large cans cannelini beans
    1 can tomato sauce
    2 c. ditalini macaroni
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Saute onion and garlic in oil.
    Add chicken broth, tomato sauce, beans (with juice), salt, pepper, basil and parsley.
    Let simmer for 5 minutes.
    Add 2 cups of ditalini to broth.
    Bring to a slow boil until macaroni is al dente.
    Serve with grated Romano cheese and Italian bread.
    Add hot pepper flakes, if desired.
