Sweet Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 pkg. dry yeast
    2 1/2 c. milk
    2 1/2 c. water
    3/4 c. shortening
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    3 tsp. salt
    3 eggs, beaten
    18 c. all-purpose flour
Preparation
    Dissolve yeast in 1/2 cup of warm water; set aside.
    Heat until warm the milk and 2 1/2 cups of water (5 cups of liquid). Add milk and water to shortening, sugar, salt and beaten eggs. Measure and add to liquid the flour 3 cups at a time.
    Grease hands; knead well.
    Let rise for 2 hours or until doubled in bulk. Knead again and put dough in greased pans.
    Let rise again.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 10 minutes, then lower heat to 350\u00b0 for 35 minutes. Makes 6 to 8 pan loaves.
