Szegedi Sauerkraut - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 can sauerkraut
    1 lb. lean pork meat
    1 large onion
    1 Tbsp. sweet paprika
    2 Tbsp. oil or lard
    1/2 tsp. salt by taste
Preparation
    Chop onion and saute in oil until brown; let cool.
    Add paprika and small pork and salt, drained by squeezing sauerkraut. Mix with onions and pork.
    Add enough water to cover top.
    Put on lid and let it simmer about 45 to 60 minutes.
    Checking occasionally, stirring and if all is gone, add a little bit.
    Pork and kraut will be tender.
    Serve with sour cream on the side (if so desired).
    It adds to a very good dinner.
