Pepper Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    1 Tbsp. flour
    1/2 c. water
    1/2 c. catsup
    3 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1 clove minced garlic
    1/2 c. finely chopped onion
    1 lb. round steak, cut into small pieces
    1 pkg. fresh mushrooms
    2 large green peppers, cut into rings
    2 medium onions, cut into rings
    rice
Preparation
    Brown meat in shortening; remove.
    Blend flour into shortening from which meat was removed. Add catsup, water, Worcestershire sauce, pepper, garlic and chopped onion. Bring to a boil.
    Lower heat to simmer for 20 minutes. Drop meat into sauce and cook only until tender.
    (This much can be done 2 or 3 days before serving and stored in refrigerator.).
    Ten minutes before serving, add fresh vegetables. Cook until crisply tender, about 10 minutes. Serve on hot fluffy rice. Serves 6.
