Mama Filyaw'S Jam Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 1/2 c. margarine or oil
    3 c. flour
    2 tsp. soda
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 c. seedless raisins
    6 eggs
    2 c. blackberry jam
    1 tsp. each (cloves, cinnamon, allspice)
    1 c. broken nuts
Preparation
    Cream sugar and shortening; add eggs and mix well.
    Combine buttermilk and jam.
    Add alternately with sifted dry ingredients. Add nuts, raisins and spices; stir well.
    Bake in tube pan for approximately 1 hour at 350\u00b0.
