Angel Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 c. self-rising flour
    1 c. shortening
    2 pkg. dry yeast, dissolved in 1/4 c. warm water
    1/3 c. sugar
    2 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. soda
Preparation
    Cut shortening in the dry ingredients.
    Pour the yeast into the buttermilk before pouring it into the flour mixture.
    Mix with a stiff spoon.
    Roll dough on a floured surface to desired thickness; cut with biscuit cutter.
    Bake in conventional oven at 425\u00b0.
    Keeps well in refrigerator for several days in covered container.
