Molasses Krinkles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. brown sugar
    3/4 c. shortening
    1 egg
    4 Tbsp. Orleans molasses
    2 1/4 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. ginger
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. cloves
Preparation
    Mix together brown sugar, shortening, egg and molasses.
    Sift together flour, baking soda, ginger, cinnamon and cloves.
    Combine mixtures.
    Chill until firm enough to form small balls.
    Dip one side in sugar and flatten in a greased cookie sheet.
    Place a couple of drops water on each cookie.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 to 375\u00b0, approximately 8 to 10 minutes.
    Underbake for a softer cookie. Otherwise, will be ginger snap.
