Oreo Cookie Dessert - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 small pkg. Oreo cookies
1 stick margarine
1/2 gal. vanilla ice cream
1 c. chocolate syrup
1 c. salted peanuts
1 carton Cool Whip

Preparation

Crush cookies and mix with melted margarine (save 1 cup of crumbs for top).
Put cookies in bottom of 9 x 13-inch pan. Slice up ice cream on top of crumbs.
Pour chocolate syrup over ice cream, followed by salted peanuts.
Top with carton of Cool Whip and sprinkle with remaining crumbs and freeze.
