Mrs. Eisenhower'S Pumpkin Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 egg yolks
    3/4 c. brown sugar
    1 1/2 c. cooked pumpkin
    1/2 c. milk
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1 pkg. Knox gelatine
Preparation
    Cook mixture in a double boiler until thick. Stir constantly. Soak gelatine in 1/4 cup cold water and add to hot mixture.
    Chill until
    partly set. Beat 3 egg whites.
    Add 1/2 cup sugar and beat stiff. Fold into chilled mixture.
    Pour into pie shell and chill until set.
    Top with whipped cream or Cool Whip.
    Makes a large pie.
    Use a baked shell or Cookie Crust Shell.
