Dumplings - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. flour
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 c. margarine or vegetable shortening
1 large egg (more if needed to make stiff dough)
Preparation

Combine flour, baking powder and salt.
Then cut in shortening as for a pie crust.
Add egg and mix into the dough.
It sounds simple enough, but there are secrets to good dumplings.
