Molasses Corn Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening or oil
1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1/2 c. molasses
1 c. milk
1 c. flour
1/2 c. white corn meal
1 Tbsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. bran cereal (All-Bran or Bran Buds)
Preparation

Mix shortening or oil and sugar together in large mixing bowl. Beat eggs.
Add molasses and milk.
Sift together flour, corn meal, baking powder and salt.
Add to mixture.
Carefully stir in bran.
Pour into a 9 x 9 x 2-inch well-greased pan or 9-inch skillet.
Bake in moderate oven at 375\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
Yields 9 pieces.
