Ingredients

1 1/2 c. scalded milk
1 c. shredded coconut
3 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. salt
3 tsp. baking powder
3 eggs (room temperature)
1/2 c. soft shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. soda
1/4 c. hot water
Preparation

The night before the cake is to be baked, put milk and coconut in blender.
Run on low speed until coconut is chopped.
Put in icebox and let set overnight.
