Lizzie Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sugar
2 c. water
1 c. Crisco
1 lb. raisins
2 eggs, beaten
3 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation

Mix sugar, water, Crisco and raisins.
Bring to a boil. Simmer 5 minutes; cool.
Add eggs.
Sift together flour, baking soda, salt and cinnamon.
Mix wet ingredients with dry ingredients using a wooden spoon.
Stir in walnuts.
Pour into greased and floured loaf pans.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
