White Wonder Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 1/3 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 1/4 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. milk
    4 egg whites
    2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
Preparation
    Cream shortening.
    Add sugar and vanilla; beat until fluffy. Sift flour, baking powder and salt.
    Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture alternately with milk.
    Blend until smooth.
    Beat egg whites until stiff enough to form peaks.
    Fold into batter.
    Bake in moderate oven at 375\u00b0 for about 25 minutes.
